Mission Statement:
The Connecticut Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association's 32 members operate 70 locations in Connecticut providing tires and automotive services at retail, tires and related goods at the wholesale and distribution level, and tires and tire-related products internationally.

Many CTDRA members are also members of the New England Tire and Service Association (NETSA) and the Tire Industry Association (TIA).

The CTDRA provides "watch dog" activities on behalf of its membership and the tire industry regarding legislative, judicial and regulatory issues in Connecticut: several years ago a Connecticut tax case yielded a judge's ruling that waste tires are hazardous. In cooperation with national and regional associations and the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the CTDRA was able to convince the Connecticut General Assembly to amend the state laws and define waste tires as "special waste", thereby avoiding the multitude of issues with environmentally hazardous waste, its transportation, its storage, and its disposal.
