Consider Service on TIA's Board of Directors

Serving on TIA’s Board of Directors is an excellent way to give back to the tire industry. Board members have the opportunity to affect positive change, and their expertise is an invaluable aid in helping TIA accomplish its mission of being the premiere representative organization for the industry.

TIA’s volunteer Board is comprised of 36 individuals from across the various sectors of the tire industry, including automotive, commercial, retreading, and recycling. The Board is governed by the association’s bylaws, and meets twice a year* to vote on matters concerning TIA and the industry.

In addition to attending board meetings, TIA’s Board members have the opportunity to sit on committees that concentrate on a specific area within the association, such as Training, Membership, Events, and Government Affairs. These committees meet by teleconference on an as needed basis and play a vital role in the association. If interested, Board members who have served for 18 months or longer may run for the Executive Committee, which consists of TIA’s current President, Past President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Volunteer Board members serve three-year terms; nominations open in April, with balloting completed by early September.

*Full meetings of the Board are held in the summer (typically May or June) and during the Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show In Las Vegas, Nevada (Late October to early November). The summer meeting is 2-3 days in length, and the meeting during the Expo is held the Monday before the SEMA show begins.
