Fleet Truck Tire and Wheel Training — In the Maintenance Facility

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulation 29 CFR 1910.177 requires documented training for all employees that handle truck tires and wheels in any way. Tire Industry Association (TIA) educational programs are designed to provide truck tire and wheel safety training, including:

The Fleet Tire Service OSHA Compliance Training Program that meets the minimum OSHA requirements for training and can be conducted in any facility.

The Custom Fleet Tire Training Program
that allows the fleet to combine classroom instruction and hands-on training in the maintenance facility for commercial and off-the-road tire service.

“According to OSHA, any employee that handles truck tires and wheels must receive safety training.”
