TIA Partners With ASA to Offer Free Web Page to Members. All members are eligible to receive a professionally designed web page for free. This new service is the result of a partnership between TIA and ASA Tire Systems (ASA), a well-known supplier of software tools to the tire industry. The service includes customizing the color of the page and spaces on the page for contact information and rotating color images. Additionally, members’ web pages will be built for search engine optimization; they will also have the ability to obtain a customized e-mail address and will receive assistance with registering their company’s domain name. TIA Publications - TIA offers a variety of enhanced publications for the industry:
Today's Tire Industry: TIA's flagship publication; a full color magazine published six times annually as an educational resource for all segments of the tire industry.
Commercial Tire Service (CTS)Today: HIghlights current issues in the commercial tire industry and is published six times annually. Available to TIA Certified CTS Instructors and technicians to promote training in the field.
TIA Fax: A monthly newsletter service distributed to all members on the third Monday of the month.
Scholarships
The Dwight Peel Scholarship was designed to educate commercial tire service technicians about the risks associated with servicing commercial tire and wheel assemblies.
Michelin TIA Scholarship Program was designed to assist the family members of TIA tire dealer members. Applicants must be seniors in high school, and must be planning to pursue a post-secondary education at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational technical school. The deadline is March 31.
The Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium Scholarship Program is once again accepting applications for students who are planning careers as automotive aftermarket technicians. Scholarships of $1,000 are awarded to high school graduates who are enrolling in a college/university or vocational-technical school. As a bonus, a matching grant is available to scholarship recipients who become technicians in the automotive aftermarket. All applications must be postmarked by March 31.
