Cybernotes
Cybernotes keeps you informed about Internet resources of interest to tire dealers.
A few other sites are included just for fun.

from January/February 2005 Today's Tire Industry
www.dinercity.com
On the road for business or driving a rig and looking for a good place to eat? Somewhere fun and kitschy, family owned or perhaps just a darn good breakfast in the middle of the afternoon? How about a good ole’ fashioned classic diner! The tagline for this site is “Your online guide to Classic Dinners and the American Roadside.” The most useful feature of this site is a map of the country with diners organized by state with a photo, address and the year/manufacturer for each diner. It is a comprehensive list with all but nine states having diner listings! This site also has reviews, history of diners, diner manufacturers and even a discussion on what defines a true diner (not to mention the Recommended Diner Reading List). In addition you can find more kitsch with some fun links and pages about Classic Motels, Coffee Shops, Gas Stations, Roadside Attractions and much more!

www.consumer.gov
This website is known as FirstGov for Consumers. It is a “one-stop” link to a broad range of federal information resources available online. It is designed so you can locate information by category — such as Food, Health, Product Safety, Your Money, and Transportation. Each category has subcategories to direct you to areas within individual federal web sites containing related information. For example, on the homepage there is information and links to the National Do Not Call Registry, Kidz Privacy, the Consumer Action Handbook, Identity Theft and Recalls.gov among many others.
www.imiproducts.com
IMI makers of EQUAL have launched a new website. Among the site’s newest features are an enhanced distributor locator and an updated pressroom featuring news releases and links to industry articles. Distributors can also view and order in-store promotional materials or download technical service bulletins, material safety data sheets, quantity charts and application guides for IMI products.

www.tireindustry.org/otr.asp
This year the TIA Off-the-Road Conference (OTR) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in Tucson, Arizona, February 24-26, 2005. The TIA OTR Conference is the largest gathering of executives and business owners in the OTR market. Those who manufacture, service, repair or retread tires, and suppliers who support this industry attend the Conference. This year’s conference offers exciting and dynamic seminars and keynote events. In addition there are numerous receptions as well as the annual TIA OTR Golf Tournament at the Starr Pass Golf Club (don’t forget the $25,000 Hole-In-One Contest!). Information, schedules and online registration are available on the OTR Conference webpage. If you haven’t already registered, please visit the website and register today!
