TIA’s newest training and certification program is directed to technicians working in a typical retail tire dealership. The Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Instructor seminar is divided into 3- and 4-day classes. Successful completion of the 3-day Program certifies the individual as an instructor with the credentials to certify ATS technicians in the field. The 4-day class certifies the individual as an instructor with the credentials to certify ATS instructors and technicians in the field.

Both programs begin on Tuesday morning. The 3-day students depart on Thursday following the Certification Exam, and the 4-day students depart on Friday. Both Certified ATS Instructor Programs involve extensive hands-on training, so students must demonstrate proficiency in the shop before they are allowed to take the Exam.

Classes are usually offered in two locations, at training facilities in Denver, Colorado and Baltimore, Maryland. Within two weeks of registering, you will receive a faxed confirmation from TIA, along with a map of the area.

The tuition rate does not include the sleeping room rate. If the student plans to pay for the hotel room by credit card, the student must provide the card at hotel check-in or a letter of authorization must be sent to the hotel by the cardholder.
