Federated Insurance to Host Designated Risk Manager Seminar for Tire Dealers
Bowie, MD – Federated Insurance, the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA’s), endorsed provider for business liability insurance will conduct a special Designated Risk Manager Seminar for Tire Dealers/Auto Service Centers. The 2½ day seminar will be held April 28-30, 2014 at Federated’s headquarters in Owatonna, Minnesota.
The seminar is designed specifically for owners and key employees who are responsible for implementing risk management strategies at their tire dealership or auto service center. The seminar targets specific risk management concerns for the tire industry and Federated understand the risks inherent with tire dealers. Key agenda items will include:
· Distracted driving
· Hiring, screening and retaining employees
· Tire dealers/auto service center claims handling
· Implementing a drug and alcohol free workplace
· Major loss areas in the tire industry
· And more
“Tire dealers that are most successful at controlling losses have a designated key person as their risk manager. The challenge is that typically it is not a full-time position and the responsibility falls on someone who has other full-time duties to fulfill. This is where Federated’s Designated Risk Manager Seminar can be so valuable,” said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.
There is no charge for TIA members to attend this seminar as it is a TIA member benefit, thanks to TIA’s partnership with Federated Insurance. Attendees, however, are responsible for the cost of travel, lodging (at a discounted rate), and incidental meals. Space is limited to 25 persons.
