Bowie, Md. – With the 119th Congress in full swing, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) has released its updated 2025 Legislative Position Papers, reaffirming the association’s commitment to protecting and advancing the interests of the tire industry at the federal level.
Developed by TIA’s Government Affairs Committee and approved by the Board of Directors, these annual position papers serve as a cornerstone of the association’s policy strategy in Washington, D.C. They outline TIA’s stance on the most pressing legislative and regulatory issues facing the industry and clearly articulate the policy changes the association supports—often including specific bill language.
“These documents are more than just policy statements—they’re advocacy tools,” said Roy Littlefield IV, TIA’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “They help educate lawmakers, federal agencies, and other stakeholders about how federal actions directly impact tire dealers, manufacturers, and service providers across the country.”
TIA’s position papers provide essential background on each issue, detail the association’s recommendations, and offer a clear call to action. Whether urging support for pro-industry legislation or opposing burdensome regulations, the papers ensure the tire industry’s voice is part of the legislative conversation.
The 2025 Position Papers have already been distributed to members of Congress, tire manufacturers, TIA members, and the media. They will play a central role during government affairs initiatives throughout the year.
As legislative developments unfold, the documents will be updated to reflect new challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
