TPMS Service Focus of Week 6 TIA Training Webinar
BOWIE, Md. – The Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) sixth week of free Automotive Tire Service (ATS) webinars will focus on the topic of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) service.
These sessions, which allow attendees to preview TIA’s highly regarded training program, will take place three times daily from Tuesday, June 23 through Thursday, June 25, 2020. Registration for week six is now open at https://www.tireindustry.org/automotive-tire-service-webinars.
This will be the final week in TIA’s series of free online video-conference webinars, which have focused each week on different aspects of tire service training for passenger and light truck tire service technicians.
The TPMS webinar will address areas where retailers must focus in order to properly service the systems on today’s cars, SUVs and light trucks. This includes covering the make inoperative provision of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, so dealers have a better understanding of their obligations.
“The automotive tire service industry is well into the second decade of TPMS and there are still a number of operational challenges,” said Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training. “This quick look at the basics of TPMS service will help attendees provide better service to their customers while reducing their exposure to any potential lawsuits.”
The 30-minute webinars will take place three times each day at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (all times EDT). A TIA staff instructor will be available for additional questions after class.
