TIA Releases 2013 TPMS Chart

  • Release Date: November 04, 2013

Bowie, Maryland – The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting pre-orders for the newest version of the TPMS Relearn Chart which includes domestic and import vehicles through model year 2013. The Chart serves as a valuable, comprehensive, and quick reference guide that technicians can easily navigate to service most vehicles equipped with TPMS.

The TPMS Chart is divided into domestic and import vehicle sections and includes the type of TPMS, relearn summaries, OEM sensor part number, and replacement sensor and service pack part numbers for Schrader, Dill, Myers Tire Supply, 31 Inc. Xtra-Seal, Continental and NAPA. It also includes the sensor numbers for Orange Electronics and Oro-Tek. The chart lists the torque specs for the sensor nut, torx bolt, worm gear and vehicle lug nuts.

The 2013 TPMS Relearn Chart has been updated in numerous ways including:

  • Inclusion of TIA Troubleshooting Tips
  • Revision of some of the relearn summaries so that they are more easily understood
  • Removal of the increase/decrease pressure instructions for GM models
  • Addition of domestic and import vehicles through model year 2013
  • Addition of sensor and service kit part numbers from Continental
  • New pictures and part numbers for common multi-format/programmable sensors on the market

“We field a lot of phone calls over the course of the year from technicians who have issues completing vehicle relearns. We decided to put some of our top calls and fixes into the relearn summaries to aid technicians in completing these procedures,” said TIA Director of Automotive Training Development Sean MacKinnon. “Updated with the newest makes and models, the TPMS Relearn Chart is a durable, easy-to-use source of information that is specifically designed to be handled and used by technicians on the shop floor. With the annual updates, tire dealerships are always prepared to service whatever vehicle drives into their shop.”

TIA will have copies of the new chart at their booth (#40069) at the Global Tire Expo at the SEMA Show in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, November 5-November 8 and they will be accepting pre-orders that will be shipped after the event. Shipping is free for any order (to be mailed within the U.S.) that is placed at the Global Tire Expo.
