Hiring Practices Webinar for TIA Members

  • Release Date: September 13, 2016

Bowie, Md. – Federated Insurance, the preferred provider of business and workers’ compensation insurance for the Tire Industry Association (TIA), is providing TIA members with access to a free webinar, Employment Insights – Hiring Practices on Tuesday, September 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT). The webinar will be conducted by Enquiron as part of the Federated Employment Practices Network (FEPN).

The webinar will identify developing challenges and hidden dangers in the hiring process. Specifically, it will focus on the application, interview and offer stages and provide practical tips based on developing trends and the expected impact on hiring practices of the upcoming overtime rules changes which go into effect December 1, 2016. The webinar will explain the status and trends impacting background checks, MVRs and position or job descriptions, and what employers can do today to refresh their procedures, using already-available FEPN online resources.

The presentation will be led by Robin Taylor Symons, co-managing partner of the Miami Gordon & Rees, LLP office and a member of the Labor and Employment, Insurance, and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups.

Employers and HR managers who hire or supervise those who do will benefit from this webinar and come away with practical tips to avoid mistakes in the hiring process—as to the process itself, the interview, and the communications relating to the process. TIA members may register online.
