(Bowie, MD-11/1/2017) – The Tire Industry Association (TIA), a leader in tire safety, will launch Tire Safety Starts with Installing Your Spare - a new consumer education video that will cover the basic guidelines for installing a temporary spare tire and using a compressor with sealant to inflate a flat tire. This video is targeted for the everyday driver and is set to launch on Monday, November 6, 2017 on TIA’s website and social media channels.
“It is important that every driver should know how to install a spare tire or use a portable compressor with sealant to safely inflate a flat tire,” said Roy Littlefield, TIA Executive Vice President. “Consumer education continues to be a top priority for TIA and we are excited to release another video that motorists can use to help improve tire safety.”
Tire Safety Starts with Installing your Spare is another installment of the Tire Safety Starts with… series that has received more than 500,000 views on the TIA’s YouTube channel, Youtube.com/TireSafetyStartsHere.

Tire Safety Starts with Installing your Spare will be available on TIA’s YouTube channel on November 6th. Manufacturers, suppliers and retailers can also receive a free digital copy that can be shared on their websites, social media and other electronic platforms.
