Bowie, Md. – HotRod Processing, the preferred provider of credit card processing for the Tire Industry Association (TIA), will host a webinar entitled Credit Card Processing and Preparing for EMV on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00pm (EDT).
EMV, a standard for credit and debit card payments originally developed by Europay, MasterCard and Visa, is coming to the United States. EMV incorporates an embedded chip rather than a magnetic stripe, a system that is more secure. EMV will require significant equipment upgrades for retailers who elect to support EMV. Although EMV is not a mandate, merchants that do not upgrade to EMV compliant card terminals by the October 1, 2015 deadline face a potential liability shift for counterfeit, lost and stolen card fraud.
This webinar is geared toward tire dealers who want to learn more about EMV and how HotRod Processing can save them money with their credit card processing system.
