Brian Rigney Elected 2019-2020 TIA President

  • Release Date: November 04, 2019

Brian Rigney officially became president of the Tire Industry Association (TIA) for 2019-2020 with the passing of the gavel during the association's 2019 annual meeting Nov. 4 in Las Vegas.

Rigney, who is president of Dill Air Controls Products L.L.C., replaced John Evankovich, who will serve a one-term as TIA past president. Rigney previously was TIA vice president.

As TIA's top elected official, Rigney will lead the association as it celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2020. During his term, Rigney said he will focus on key topics including updating training modules, collaborating on tire registration and tire service life, assessing the recycling and sustainability of materials and more.

In doing so, he said he will continue to seek input from dealers and retreaders, both large and small, to ensure that he understands what is most important to these members.

Another priority, Rigney said, will be to continue to represent TIA members through training and policy making, both at the state and federal levels.

"TIA is the voice of tire dealers on Capitol Hill, and the staff works hard to make our voice known," he said. "We have proven many times that the power of our membership can influence policy decisions."
