BOWIE, Md. – Registration for the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) online Annual Membership Meeting and 2020 Tire Industry Honors program is now open at https://www.tireindustry.org/global-tire-expo-sema-show.
Both events are being held virtually this year using the Zoom platform, since the live Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show in Las Vegas will not take place this November.
Registration for the Annual Membership meeting is open only to TIA members in current good standing. Registration for the Tire Industry Honors program is open to the entire industry. There is no charge for either event, but registration is required to attend.
Scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., TIA’s virtual Annual Membership Meeting is the chance to meet the association’s elected leadership and participate in the installation of incoming president Dan Nothdurft of Tires Tires Tires in Sioux City, Iowa. The meeting also includes a financial review, the introduction of newly elected Board members and recognition of those leaving the Board. Finally, members will have the chance to review and vote on resolutions important to the membership and discuss any new business.
The virtual Tire Industry Honors, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 2, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., is a scaled- down version of the live program that annually recognizes some of the tire industry’s most influential leaders. This year’s program will feature speeches by Nothdurft and outgoing TIA President Brian Rigney, president of Dill Air Controls Products in Oxford, N.C., as well as a legislative review by TIA CEO Roy Littlefield and TIA Director of Government Affairs Roy Littlefield IV.
In addition, industry publications Tire Business and Tire Review will announce the winners, respectively, of the Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award and Top Shop Award, Modern Tire Dealer will present a portrait to outgoing TIA President Brian Rigney, TIA will present the State Executive Legislative Award and Michelin North America will announce the winners of the 2020 Michelin/TIA college scholarships.
