Tire Repair Focus of Week 5 TIA Training Webinar

  • Release Date: June 08, 2020

BOWIE, Md. – The Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) fifth week of free Automotive Tire Service (ATS) webinars will focus on the topic of Tire Repair.

These sessions, which allow attendees to preview TIA’s highly regarded training program, will take place three times daily from Tuesday, June 16 through Thursday, June 18, 2020. Registration for week five is now open at https://www.tireindustry.org/automotive-tire-service-webinars.

TIA is presenting six consecutive weeks of free online video-conference webinars focused each week on different aspects of tire service training for passenger and light truck tire service technicians.

Week Five’s Tire Repair webinar will focus on the general tire repair guidelines for passenger and light truck tires before going into the step-by-step procedures to install a combination one-piece repair unit.

“There is a big difference between stopping a leak and repairing a tire,” said Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training. “Knowing that difference could be a matter of life or death for the motorist or help to avoid a crippling lawsuit resulting from an improper repair.”

The 30-minute webinars will take place three times each day at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (all times EDT). A TIA staff instructor will be available for additional questions after class.
